Advice & Support

Advice is available on a variety of Business issues, and the Centre has direct linkages with the local Council’s Business Development team, Business Link and a number of Enterprise Agencies.
The Council’s ICT Business Support Officer works every day with businesses and their computers, and has built up detailed knowledge and understanding of the needs of small businesses.
Routine tasks include working with companies to design forms and templates, developing Spreadsheets and Databases for customer records, or reports, that best suit their needs and putting desk top publishing to work for letterheads or title pages on the internet.
Companies are offered a free consultation to discuss needs, either in the Business Centre or at their office. Following the consultation, they will be free to pursue any solutions offered on their own, or with guidance. Many companies opt to take advantage of specially developed short, modular Training Courses covering the most popular subjects. At 3-4 hours duration, each course has been prepared to be practical, sensibly priced and offer hands-on training.
The Centre is also a local Access Point for Business Link and the Centre’s Manager is on hand to help and support businesses.
