Do I have to pay for power separately?
A
Yes, electricity and gas used in each unit are separately metered and billed each quarter.

Are there any rent free periods allowed for new businesses?
A
There is a limited facility to allow a short period without charge to allow businesses to move into their units and start operations.

Can I access my unit during the evenings and weekends?
A
Yes, access to the building is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Is there any parking at the Business Centre?
A
There is space for up to 60 vehicles in the Centre car park and surroundings to park free of charge. These are available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. There are in addition several car public car parks both long and short stay, in close proximity to the centre.

Do I have to sign a lease?
A
No. Units are occupied by licence on an annual basis. The licence conditions, which you will sign, agree amongst other things 4 weeks notice to quit.

Does the centre have access to Broadband Internet?
A
Yes, the Centre has a leased line Broadband Connection, which provides the fast Internet access that modern businesses demand.

Is there a limit to the length of time that I can stay in the Centre?
A
No, but there is an expectation that companies will move on when they are established (approx, 3 years), to allow new start companies to take up the same facilities.

Does the Business Centre provide a telephone answering service answering in my business name?
A
Yes, trained Reception staff can answer your calls in the style you suggest, during office hours.
Q
What happens if my business grows and I need more space?
A
You can move to another unit, take on an additional unit or occupy one of our double units with connecting doors.
Q
Where can I get help if the Business Centre has no units suitable in size for my business?
A
The Council’s Business Development Team can help with property enquiries.
